Send secure mail

DPG Outlook Office Addin offers full support for validating recipients of secure mail and secure sending from your own mailbox.

Do the following to send secure mail:

  1. Select New mail and see that DPG Secure Communication is loaded.
  2. Write the email message.
  3. Write a subject in the subject field.
  4. Open DPG Secure Communication (DPG AddIn).
  5. Add recipients to the secure email in DPG AddIn or in the email.
  6. DPG AddIn continuously validates what you write in the email:

    As shown, there is 1 valid email address and 1 invalid email address, and the email is not ready to send.

    Also note that the DPG AddIn version number is at the bottom right corner - in this case 3.0.1681.1.

  7. Click (Clean) to remove all invalid email addresses from the email (or correct the email address in the email).

  8. When the email is ready to be sent, the next step is sending the email. The procedure here depends on whether you are using version 3 or version 4 of DPG Outlook Office Addin:

    • Version 3: Here you can freely choose whether to use the Send button in the email or Send secure mail message in DPG AddIn. In both cases, the email is sent securely.
    • Version 4: If you send the email with the Send secure mail message button in DPG AddIn, you send the email securely. If you instead use the Send button in the email, the email is sent bypassing DPG Secure Communication and therefore not securely.

  9. Once you have sent your email, it is further validated by the DPG Service and sent securely to the specified recipients.

  10. Shortly after, you will receive a receipt confirming that the secure mail was sent successfully.
