Mit.dk: Adding documents for signature
Since Release 7.27.0, DPG COM Addin (Classic Outlook) supports the functions that mit.dk provides for signing documents. You can send documents in PDF format for signature at mit.dk directly from DPG COM Addin (Classic Outlook).
Note
To send a message via mit.dk, you must set the email's From address to a secure mailbox. See Set From address in Outlook Classic for information on how to do this.
To see the signature request functions, select Send for signature in DPG COM Addin:
Signature order
You can choose to send documents for signature in a prioritized order, where recipients sign in the order you have specified. Alternatively, you can choose to send documents without a specific order, where the DPG service sends the documents simultaneously to all recipients.
Prioritized order:
Use the arrows to change the order of documents.
No order:
Here the DPG service sends all documents to the recipients at the same time.
Date and time settings
With the date and time settings, you can specify a deadline within which recipients must sign the submitted documents in mit.dk.
Select date
For signature requests, a date is specified for the latest allowed signing time. The default setting is set to 8 days ahead, but can be adjusted with the following registry key in Windows Registry:
MitdkSignatureDueDateDefaultAddDays
You can manually select a date for the latest signature date in DPG COM Addin by selecting the calendar icon and then a date.
Select time
It is possible to specify a deadline for what hour of the day the signature request must be signed by.
To enable selection of hour in DPG COM Addin (Classic Outlook), the following registry key must be added in Windows Registry:
MitdkSignatureDisableDueDateHoursOfDayAndUseEndOfDay
If this key is not added, the last hour of the date applies as the deadline. The hours start at midnight (0 is midnight, 1 is 1 AM, etc.).
Mail body
When documents are sent for signature in mit.dk, a text is displayed to the recipient when they open the message. This text is called the main document. You can either select a PDF document as the main document or select Mail body, which is an email you write yourself, which is then displayed as the main document. The main document itself does not need to be signed by the recipient. The rest of the PDF documents attached to the email are sent for signature.
This appears as follows in DPG COM Addin (Classic Outlook):
The illustration below shows that the email has an attached contract, Appendix 1, 2, and 3, and that Mail body will be used as the first thing the user sees.
When the recipient opens the message with the signature request in mit.dk, Mail body is displayed first. At the same time, the contract, Appendix 1, 2, and 3 are attached and ready for signature.
Select a PDF instead of Mail body
You can also select an attached PDF document as the first thing displayed in the message.
When a signature request is sent via the DPG service to mit.dk, the sender can include Mail body as the first thing displayed in the message, as described above. Alternatively, the sender can select one of the attached PDF documents as the first thing displayed in the message.
The illustration below shows that introbrev.pdf is attached as the first thing the user should see. The yellow information fields indicate that the intro letter is used as the start page in the message.
When the recipient opens the message with the signature request in mit.dk, the intro letter is displayed first. At the same time, the contract, Appendix 1, 2, and 3 are attached and ready for signature.
