Release date: April 3rd 2025

In the following, we describe the changes that have been made to all versions of DPG Outlook COM Addin for Windows that are still supported. Mail Guard setting from DPG Service

This release contains a change to the way it is detected that Mail Guard has been purchased for the DPG COM Add-in.

Due to this change, it is important that you immediately test whether Mail Guard still works on your system. If it does not, please write to us at mailto:servicecenter@sikker-post.dk or call 70 20 62 80, and we will help right away.

Customers who manage their own DPG solution should be aware of setting the system parameter AddInExternalRecipientsMailGuardEnabled in DPG Service. Again: Contact us if you experience any issues with this.

Pre-approved email addresses and domains in Mail Guard

Mail Guard ensures that you do not accidentally send emails to people outside the organization, e.g. because Outlook has "helped" by auto-completing the email address for you. However, this had the disadvantage that addresses of frequently used partners had to be approved every time.

This has been made easier in the new version of Mail Guard. The administrator can specify a list of domains and individual email addresses (a whitelist) that are pre-approved when users send emails.

In the example below, politi.dk and skat.dk have been added to the DPG Mail Guard list of pre-approved mail domains, and the addresses are therefore pre-approved in the Add-in:
