Welcome to DPG

Welcome as a new DPG customer with Exchange Online!

These sections are for you as the customer's technical contact person. They describe the onboarding process for DPG, as well as the tasks you need to perform.

As the customer's technical contact person, you are expected to coordinate the necessary resources in your organization in connection with DPG implementation. These sections help you remember all elements in the process.

Before implementing DPG, the following processes must be completed. Note that there are several references to other documents that are in English.

Exchange Online

You must prepare Exchange Online as described in the section Mailboxes: Naming, users, and permissions in the document Preparing technical configuration for DPG service.

MitID Erhverv Organization Certificates

You must obtain or issue organization certificates in .p12 format for the secure mailbox(es).

You can find a help guide for this here: Guide to ordering organization certificates (MitID).

Microsoft Azure

You must perform the required configuration of Graph/OAuth in Azure. The details can be seen in the document Preparing technical configuration for DPG service.

Technical information for DPG

You must hand over technical information to DPG, including:

  • Email address for the DPG system mailbox
  • Email addresses for the secure mailbox(es)
  • Email address for the Mail-Enabled Security Group
  • Organization certificates in .p12 format
  • Passwords for organization certificates. NOTE! For security reasons, passwords must NOT be attached together with the certificates, but must only be provided when DPG asks for them
  • Information about additional mail domains in the customer's O365 tenant
  • The following configuration details as described in Preparing technical configuration for DPG service:
    • Application (client) ID
    • Directory (tenant) ID
    • Email address for the organization certificate used
  • In connection with DPG Outlook Office Addin, configuration details as described in Configuring DPG Outlook Office Addin must be submitted:
    • Application (client) ID
    • Directory (tenant) ID
  • Email address for the mailbox(es) that should receive technical diagnostics mail from your DPG solution. Diagnostics mail can include information about current errors in handling secure mail, errors for a period, number of mails processed for a period, notification of impending organization certificate expiration, etc.

Use the attached Excel template to note the technical information. Then upload the completed template and certificates to DPG in the delivery case.

Infrastructure

When DPG has received the technical information, DPG will send you the following:

  • Information about the DPG solution's fixed IP address, so you can update DNS SPF record
  • Draft transport rules in Exchange, which you have the opportunity to review before you install and later activate the transport rules in O365
  • Draft Exchange Connector, which you have the opportunity to review before you install and activate the Connector in Office 365
  • DPG COM Addin (Classic Outlook) installation program as MSI package and draft Windows Registry configuration for DPG COM Addin, so you can initiate rollout of this - see also Technical details.
  • Information about downloading DPG Outlook Office Addin manifest, so you can initiate rollout of this - see also Installation of DPG Outlook Office Addin.

Testing and adjustments

Testing and adjustments of operation and functionality are performed in collaboration between you and DPG. This includes user training for you as the customer's technical contact person.

Ready notification / Go-live

The implementation of DPG secure mail is completed with a ready notification from you.

Additional installation

The above describes a standard installation of DPG.

If you have ordered integration with Digital Post (NgDP), e-Boks, or mit.dk, this is performed as a separate project following the secure mail delivery.
