The DPG solution can be connected to datafordeler.dk and can thus return the personal name for a citizen's CPR number in DPG AddIn, for example like this:
This guide helps you obtain permission to access CPR and connect the DPG service to CPR once permission is obtained. The guide is intended for:
- Organizations approved as public senders
- Companies
What is an organization approved as a public sender?
The Danish Agency for Digitisation maintains a list of organizations that can use Digital Post as public senders. The list can be found here:
Being on the list does not mean that an organization is approved as a public sender, but it is a necessary prerequisite for approval that the organization is on the list.
As an organization approved as a public sender, you apply for access to CPR lookup in the same way as for a company, and for example there will be no access to protected names and addresses.
Creation and access
The technical registration to CPR.dk and datafordeler.dk is done via Datafordeler's website. Subsequently, there will also be written dialogue with Datafordeler's support function.
The application for access/permission to name lookup via CPR is done after written contact to cpr.dk and completion of an application via virk.dk.
In principle, authorities have the right to perform CPR lookups, but this must be confirmed and effectuated through dialogue with CPR's service desk.
How to proceed
-
Go to Datafordeler Self-Service, and create a new user.
The user can be created with:
-
username/password (see Datafordeler's help page)
-
or based on MitID (see Datafordeler's help page)
-
-
Select + to create a Service User.
Because CPR data needs to be queried, a System Certificate or Organization Certificate must be loaded (see Datafordeler's help page).
Note that the loaded certificate must be in CER format (see Datafordeler's help page).
-
Apply for access to CPR by following the short guide on CPR's help page.
When you have received a case number from CPR's service desk, you must apply via virk.dk.
Below is information on the technical points for the application:
-
Wait for CPR service desk to process the authority's application.
-
When the approval from CPR is received, datafordeler.dk support must be contacted directly, and access for Web User and Service User to the Production environment (https://selfservice.datafordeler.dk) must be requested, referring to the approval from CPR.dk, as well as IP whitelisting of the DPG service's fixed external IP address.
If you do not already have the DPG service's fixed external IP address, you can simply contact DPG to get it.
-
When positive confirmation is received from datafordeler.dk support, you must hand over the System Certificate or Organization Certificate you used for the Service User to DPG, after which the connection can be established.
The certificate must be handed over to DPG in
.p12format.
